Plot outline :The Hallmark production Dreamkeeper is a four-hour epic movie tale. Shane Chasing Horse (Eddie Spears) is a member of the Dog Soldiers gang on the Lakota Pine Ridge Reservation. His mom (Sheila Tousey) asks him to take his grandpa Old Pete Chasing Horse (August Schellenberg) to the All Nations Storytelling Powwow in Santa Fe, NM. Shane owes money to some gangsters, so he agrees in order to get out of town. As they drive across South Dakota in a beat-up old Ford, Grandpa tells stories about magical Lakota legends. Each story unfolds into a little movie, of which some have real good special effects .

The polar ice caps have melted, and the earth is covered by water. The remaining people travel the seas, in search of survival. Several different societies exist. The Mariner falls from his customary and solitary existence into having to care for a woman and a young girl while being pursued by the evil forces of the Deacon.

Since University years i know of this war-crimes i believed to be invented in hell. A drama for the "free World" which was not prepared to say the truth about the Russian friends and allies in war; lets not anger uncle Joe (J. Stalin)!

And now, finally the film i was waiting for 30 years. It should have started with Nürnberg, the trial, where everybody knew the truth, but it was excluded from discussion. All the evidence,long way to Jelzins "yes we did it", it could have been a thrilling political film, but - maybe viewing Oscar - it is just a good, well made fact-based story (saga, like gone with the wind) on one of greatest tragedies of the Polish nation, killing part of their best future leaders.The title KATYN is not deserved.
